About the event
Illuminating the Youth is hosting a free School Supply & Hygiene Kit Giveaway on Saturday, August 1st from 1:00–3:00 PM at Eastshore Playground for all K-12 students. We’ll distribute 300 clear backpacks filled with essential school supplies and hygiene items to help New Orleans families offset back-to-school costs. Children must be present to receive a backpack. Supplies are first come, first served. Our mission is simple: make sure every kid in our community starts the year with dignity, confidence, and the tools to succeed.
